1. Forza Horizon 5
Platform: Windows 10, Xbox One, Xbox Series X
Publication type: Standard
Genre: Racing/Simulation
Age limit: 0+
Language: English
Release date: 11/08/2021
Publisher: Xbox
Activation territory: Russian Federation
- stunningly beautiful
- dream cars
- Lots of different events
- No ray tracing in base game
We were so impressed with Forza Horizon 5 on PC that we gave it a perfect score. This race is set in Mexico and features a wide range of stunning biomes, from vast deserts to lush jungles. While racing is unmatched fun, you can have just as much fun just by exploring the map.
The driving feels fantastic even if it has an arcade twist rather than making it hyper-realistic. You don’t have to be a huge car fanatic to have fun in Horizon, unlike its more serious sibling Forza Motorsport.
You can also play alone or with a group of friends, making Forza Horizon 5 impressively versatile. So if your squad is tired of shooting in the Call of Duty combat zone, this is a fantastic alternative to test drive.
2. Deathloop
Platform: PC
Publication type: standard
Genre: Shooter
Age limit: 18+
Language: Russian
Release date: 05/21/2021
Country: Russia
- Leverages the concept of a time loop
- Supernatural powers bring joy
- Many discoveries in every world
- Multiplayer element adds exciting chaos
- May repeat towards the end
- Few technical issues
Deathloop seems like a breath of fresh air compared to other AAA games on the market. Instead of going through traditional levels, Deathloop locks you into a time loop that can only be broken by killing eight targets.
Interestingly, you can’t just jump into each location firing cannons to destroy your targets, as instead you have to deal with snooping and clever time manipulation.
Throw in absurdly fun supernatural powers and the ability for online players to invade your game, and playing Deathloop is an absolute joy. If you’ve been complaining that modern games are too similar, this is one of the best PC games you can buy right now.
3. Crusader Kings 3
Platform: Windows 10, PC
Publication type: standard
Genre: Simulation/Strategy
Age limit: 16+
Language: Russian (interface), English (game)
Release date: 09/01/2020
Country: Russia
- Great new RPG elements
- More varied play styles
- Improved visuals
- AI controlled allied armies are unreliable
- A couple of annoying technical problems
Crusader Kings 3 may seem like a boring game that only a nerd historian can love, but it’s actually a fun epic about creating your own adventure, as you can become the ruler of any kingdom you like and change historical events for better or worse.
You can get serious about your crown and try to conquer as much land as possible, or just have a good time spending money on parties and sleeping with every character that looks your way. There is a great RPG system at work here, so you can create different builds for each character.
Strategy games on PC like Crusader Kings have understandably intimidated new players in the past, but this time around there is a great tutorial, accompanied by detailed guides. It’s worth a try if you have even the slightest interest in history or just want to wreak havoc as King of England.
4. Football Manager 2022
Platform: Windows, Windows 10, PC
Publication type: standard
Genre: Simulation/Sports
Age limit: 16+
Language: English
Release date: 11/09/2021
Country: Russia
- Tactically deep like never before
- Data Hub helps identify team weaknesses
- Staff meetings and deadline day enhance immersion
- Match Engine provides more realistic player behavior
- Maybe not enough features to justify upgrading from FM21
- Media conferences still seem like a chore
You might be put off by the idea of playing with spreadsheets and email, but Football Manager 2022 is a surprisingly fun game. You can take control of any football team you like and then tinker with every aspect of the club, from what style of football you should play to how much your scouts should be paid.
It may not have the general excitement of FIFA, but if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to manage a football club, then Football Manager 2022 is your best bet.
5. It Takes Two
Platform: PC
Publication type: standard
Genre: Platform/Adventure
Age limit: 12+
Language: Russian
Release date: 03/26/2021
Country: Russia
- good plot
- Addictive and ever-changing gameplay
- stunning scenery
- Scene with cutie the elephant
- Not the best soundtrack
Most multiplayer games focus on competing against each other, but It Takes Two takes a different approach. This is a cooperative game in which two players must work together as a married couple magically transforms into dolls during the divorce process.
With a new Toy Story feel, there’s a fantastic variety of places to explore, from the insides of a grandfather clock to a ski resort inside a snow globe. Like a platform game, you will need to time your jumps and solve a series of puzzles.
Best of all, only one person needs a copy of the game on PC so that two can play online. So you can buy it right now and convince a friend to play one of the best cooperative multiplayer PC games.
